Susan - BEM
Founder & CEO

Susan is the founder and CEO of Jaspal's Voice - a non profit organisation to help raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease. Her mission is to provide communication tools using health technology to help MND sufferers have a 'Voice'. A graduate in BSc (Hons) Maths from London Guildhall University brings a wealth of expertise from her career as a programmer for Thorn EMI Defence Systems to an Analyst for Pictet Asset Management. As an advocate of Women in technology, she is an adviser and mentor for Girl2.0, a non profit organisation founded by a group of young enthusiastic girls.  Girl2.0 encourages, educates and empowers young girls who have a passion for technology and want to advance their careers in STEM fields. She was awarded a BEM in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2020 for her services to the MND community.

James
Non Executive Director

James has a BSc in Economics and has worked in the IT Industry for 30 years. In 1997 James founded Aptus Solutions to provide information management software and solutions to blue chip clients. The company became market leaders with James responsible for finance and strategy. In 2004 he joined Sword Group which was floated on the Paris stock market. He was a Board member and sat on the executive committee and had P&L responsibility for businesses in London and Paris as well as managing several acquisitions. Since 2009 he has mentored IT companies in financial management and strategy helping them achieve their start-up and growth ambitions. 

 

Talya
Neuroscience Research Consultant

Talya is our neuroscience research consultant. Talya has always had a passion for science and understanding the mechanisms of disease, from working on pain disorders at BSc and later investigating psychiatric disorders during her MSc. She is currently undertaking her PhD in Neuroscience at UCL, where she is investigating how the brain cleans and clears itself of waste, and how this might go wrong in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly focusing on Alzheimer’s. Talya is committed to science outreach, and aims to translate the important and exciting developments in research to the patients and family members that it concerns the most. 

Shalini
Fundraising & Events

Shalini is passionate about helping this cause after losing her mother in 2012 to motor neurone disease. She brings her enthusiasm, creativity and communication skills to organise events and raise funds. Having graduated in History from UCL, and Law from College of Law in London, she has the tools to research the fundraising trends that are influencing different generations.

Nikhita
Marketing & Campaigns

Nikhita runs our marketing and campaign team. She is a creative writer and author and brings a range of expertise having previously managed social media at Camelot Group, operators of the UK National Lottery, and CRM specialist at T.J.Maxx. She is an extremely vibrant and focused individual who wants to raise awareness.

Aanika
Head of Wellbeing

Aanika has a BSc (Hons) in Maths and Statistics from Brunel University, a PGCE from the Institute of Education, a Diploma in Counselling, a mental Health First Aider as well as a qualified CBT and Meditation Practitioner. She is passionate about helping those with Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing issues. Aanika is dedicated to raising awareness and eliminating the stigmas attached to mental health. Her contribution is vital to the emotional wellbeing objectives for people supported by Jaspal’s Voice.

Rupa
Fundraising & Events

Rupa has over 15 years of fundraising experience. She brings an open, creative mind and unique ideas to each project she works on.

Kyle
Financial Officer

Kyle has a keen interest in finance and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Investment and Securities. He is responsible for budgeting and financial planning.
